Audition Update – La Bohème

Thank you to everyone who auditioned for our upcoming production of La Bohème. We’re excited to announce that most of the cast for our upcoming production of La Bohème will be revealed soon! However, we are still seeking an actor-singer for the role of Alcindoro.

Rehearsals will begin at the end of April, with performances June 10–14 at Woodhouse Brewery and a special remount on September 29 at Santa Cruz Shakespeare’s Audrey Stanley Grove Theater.

Alcindoro

Baritone

Alcindoro is traditionally an older, wealthy gentleman and Musetta’s very self-important benefactor — pompous, easily flustered, and completely unaware of how outmatched he is. In our present-day adaptation, we’re reimagining him as a flashy “tech bro” type: well-funded, image-conscious, a little socially tone-deaf, and very used to getting his way. He takes himself extremely seriously, which only makes it funnier when everything starts to unravel.

Video submissions may be live or recorded; recent recordings (within one year)are acceptable.
Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
